The deadline for this session is April 25 or when units fill to capacity, whichever comes first.
GIRL SCOUTS IS A VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION AND FAYETTE JESSAMINE DAY CAMP IS RUN ENTIRELY BY VOLUNTEERS. We depend on other volunteers (leaders and/or moms of Girl Scouts) to lead units at camp and help make it a success and a fun experience for the girls.  We currently have a full staff of volunteers, but may need more depending on number of camper registrations received.

We are planning a week of outdoor activities and fun. This year, we will explore the wonders of nature and all the enjoyment being outdoors has to offer. So put away those electronic devices and join us. Some of the activities planned include basic camp skills, hiking, nature crafts, campfire cooking, flag ceremonies and much more. BR-ADV girls will participate with their unit at the Climbing Tower* and Archery Range* and learn about basic skills and safety for these activities. Daisys will have alternate activities in place of the high risk activities. Some units might work on badge requirements while at camp, but may not have time to complete all requirements. Girls can finish up at home or with their troop leader at a later time. We will have a special flag ceremony where girls will learn how to properly retire a tattered or torn flag that should no longer be used. Our overnight camp will be Wednesday. Girls will have the opportunity to participate in lots of fun activities while spending time with old friends and getting to know new friends.

Parents of BR through ADV campers must complete and sign the High Risk Activity Permission Form for campers to participate on the Climbing Tower and Archery Range.

*Daisys (K/1st grade) and Pixies (5 & under) do not participate in high risk activities.

GIRLS SHOULD BRING A SACK LUNCH EACH DAY (Lunch is provided on Thursday after the overnight).
