The deadline for this session is May 1 or when units fill to capacity, whichever comes first.

GIRL SCOUTS IS A VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION AND FAYETTE JESSAMINE DAY CAMP IS RUN COMPLETELY BY VOLUNTEERS WITH NO GS STAFF INVOLVEMENT. We depend on other volunteers (leaders and/or moms of Girl Scouts) to lead units at camp and help make it a success and a fun experience for the girls.  Please consider spending a week with your daughter and her friends to help give them a wonderful camp experience.

Campers will experience outdoor activities, learn camp skills, participate in flag ceremonies, and design their own camp shirt. BR-ADV girls can participate with their unit at the Climbing Tower* and Archery Range* to learn basic skills and safety. Daisys are excluded from both of these activities due to age/height/weight restrictions, but will have alternate activities in place of the high risk activities). Units will work on badge requirements while at camp. There will also be hiking, crafts, songs, games, and lots of new friends. During the week, each unit will plan  a skit to perform for all the other campers and unit leaders on the last day of camp.

We will have a special flag ceremony where girls will learn how to properly retire a tattered or torn flag that should no longer be used. During the week, each unit will plan a skit to present to the rest of the camp on Friday.

Parents of BR through ADV campers must complete and sign the High Risk Activity Permission Form for campers to participate at the Climbing Tower and Archery Range.
*Daisys (K/1st grade) and Pixies (5 & under) do not participate in high risk activities.

GIRLS SHOULD BRING A SACK LUNCH EACH DAY.
